Wolfburn is the most northerly whisky distillery on the Scottish mainland. Charlie, our tour guide talked us through the process of how the whisky is made. Its a very hands on process, crafted by Master Distiller Shane Fraser and his young team. Wolfburn was originally founded in 1821 on a site nearby, water from the same Burn is used in the Wolfburn Whisky made today. The source nearby at Ormlie travels down the brook behind the distillery, providing a constant stream of fresh water.
